The Story: Truthfully, there isn’t too much backstory to this photo. I was testing my camera settings so I could take pictures for a project, and it resulted in one of my favorite photos I’ve taken. My cat, Yoshi, was very interested in the camera and its adjusting lens, but naturally he didn’t want to move his face closer to the camera, hence the reaching. I’m glad he decided to be lazy in that moment, because it gave some very interesting layers of depth to the photo: his paw, his face, and then my husband behind him.
