My Process

• Had the image a GIF of a paper airplane flying stuck in my head

• Wanted to learn more about creating GIFs in Procreate

• After watching a few tutorials online, I took a stab at it

• My base layer was a line of the path of my object

• I would add a new layer over my existing layer, turn down the opacity, draw a small progression of the image

• Totaled in 64 frames

What I Learned

• Animation is difficult!

• You can add character to your drawing by turning them into GIFs

• Even if animation isn’t your focus, or even your strong suit (— like me —), it is possible.
